Botanical Garden
At work this past week, we had to plan field trips for the upcoming school year and the botanical garden was one of the suggestions. As soon as I heard it mentioned, I had to jump on the computer to google it – I had no idea that San Antonio HAD a botanical garden. Indeed we do… and so I went.
First let me say that I really wish I had heard about this place back in April. Not only was the weather amazingly hot in June (even at 11am), but I think that a lot of the flowers were done for the season… and perhaps they would have been around or just blooming in early spring. I mean, there were flowers, don’t get me wrong… I just think maybe there could have been more?
Anyway, here are a few of my favorite pictures:

I was messing with my camera settings to find a decent shot of this waterfall and one of the settings created these bokeh dots. I kinda dig them.

I love the color of this rose, so pretty!
Pretty little bud…
So colorful…
I was hoping to get a shot of a bee but I was terrified of getting stung by one so I was kinda trying to get close without getting TOO close. I was surprised that I actually got a shot!
