Project 365 rewind… and finally relaxing…

First of all, stage 2 of the move is complete – today we unpacked the Uhaul and loaded everything into my storage unit.  I’m a bit worried about the fact that so many of my teaching boxes are on the ground and not propped up off it (like my couch, bed, etc) so I might want to try to go back and get some wood to put under my boxes.  I’d hate for them to get wet or something.  Anyway, stage 3 is now… unpacking.  It’s hard.  I’ve gone from a 1 bedroom apartment to a 1 bedroom… and a small bedroom at that.  It kind of almost makes me claustrophobic but maybe I’ll get used to it.

The relaxing part (of the title) is that I’m finally done moving boxes around!  No more 3rd floor apartment which, even though I loved being on the top floor and not having anyone stomping their feet above me, it was such a hassle to move from!  Today I came home after loading up the storage unit and took a 2 hour nap!  I’m still exhausted too…

Anyway, it has been a while since I’ve blogged about my project 365 pictures.  I still don’t know if I like blogging about them… sometimes I do but not always.  I haven’t figured out what I’m going to do about it so I guess I’ll just keep it up for now.

173/365 - The window to my soul is in my eye (apparently) 173/365 – I ran out of things to take a picture of (since packing had been in full force), so I went with a picture of my eyes.  I ended up catching the reflection of the window in my eye too, oops.

174/365 - paper174/365 – This is a bunch of that wrapping paper, that I had been using to wrap up my kitchen stuff in.

175/365 - Boxes 175/365 – I really like the depth of field here.  These are some cardboard boxes, not yet assembled.

176/365 - Six Flags Fiesta Texas176/365 – A shot from Fiesta Texas, which you have already seen.  I like how it looks like I’m actually on the ride.

177/365 - Cooling down 177/365 – My ceiling fan in my parent’s house.  I really like the glow and how the lighting turned out, plus the motion in the fan blades.

178/365 - just playing when I should be unpacking 178/365  – Just a pair of earbuds that I found lying around while I was unpacking.  I was trying to play with the focus.  Half-hearted attempt.

The lovely little reflections in your eyes are called 'catchlights' and I think they look great!
  • Oh I didn't know that was what they are called. It was so strange though, if you look real close, it looks like the window is open because you can see clouds... but the blinds were closed.
  • I love the corrugated cardboard picture. That's such an odd thing to announce: my love for corrugated cardboard hahah.

I'm glad you're settling in though. Just imagine how great it will be when you're finally settled in and don't have to worry about the moving and packing and unpacking. All the things we spend more time sulking about instead of actually doing. Well what I spend more time sulking about at least hahah

  • Ha ha, I know... I love that picture too. Not sure why though.
  • I like the earbud picture! That's actually pretty darn cool.

And you'll survive this. You've made it through worse. Stick it out a few months and then look from something local. Land yourself a job first, get settled in that new life. SAVE SAVE SAVE. You can do it!

  • Hee hee, I thought the earbud pic came out well. Flickr people didn't seem as impressed.

Well, getting that job seems to be the tricky part...
