Project 365 rewind… uninspired
This past week for project 365 has been pretty rough-going: I’ve been basically uninspired and not in the mood to take pictures, but more than that, I haven’t been in the mood to spend any time on Flickr. Usually I love spending time there but it’s just felt a lot like work lately and I needed a break. It’s kind of sad because when you don’t spend time on Flickr, no one spends time on your pictures which at the same time makes sense and sucks.
Anyway, here are my pictures for the past week:
This is a closeup of an ice skate. When I was real young I used to take ice skating lessons and then at some piont I just stopped, not sure why. When I was in high school I started up again and my mom bought me this pair of skates. I believe I stopped shortly before I left for college, and these skates have been sitting in my closet ever since.
Okay fine, I like this shot too, lol. It rained this morning (we definitely needed the rain) and when I was heading to my car, I caught sight of some droplets. I took many pictures but I think I like the way this one turned out best.
I was at a friend’s house, looking at her dslr (omg I want a Nikon D90 more than ever now) and she looked outside and noticed some cool-looking clouds. Being the weather geek that she is, she ran outside to take a picture and I followed suit. I think the colors aren’t right though, I think the pink was a bit brighter.
I love wind chimes, I love the way they sound (and for some reason they always make me think of the movie Twister) and I have quite a few. These are hanging on my wall, the gold bits belong to one wind chime and waaaay in the background you can see another wind chime.
This was my attempt at not being *completely* lazy about project 365. While I would love to just snap a sub par shot and call it a day, I feel guilty, as if I should be pushing myself. So here the repeating lines in the lights caught my eye and I stood on the bathroom counter to get this shot.
Ha, I wasn’t going to use this as my picture for today and then I decided.. why not?! As creepy as the pic is, the details are amazing. And if you didn’t read about it on twitter… this fly was buzzing around the house last night, driving my cat mad. This morning it start buzzing again and my cat swiftly killed it… and then deposited it on my bed (which I was still in, having just woken up). She played with it for a sec and then left it for me as a gift. How sweet.
