Okay well technically summer the *season* is still around, judging by the 100+ degree heat. But my summer, my last days of freedom are here. Actually… today might almost be considered my last day of freedom.
You see, my cousin gets in tonight – he’s only here until Thursday and then we fly to Oregon together (although he will be back after a few weeks I think). Tomorrow I believe I’m taking him shopping, because he likes to shop. I think that’s what we’re doing anyway. Then, as I said, Thursday we both fly to Oregon for a different cousin’s wedding, and my 6 days up there will be spent mostly with family, you know? I get back Tuesday night and then BAM… Wednesday is supposed to be my first day of work.
Geez, where did the summer go? I have to say, I really enjoyed the summer – not working for the first time in ages, sleeping in late, etc. I’m kind of doomed when it comes to going back to work.. the past few days I haven’t been able to fall asleep before 2am, and for work I usually am in bed, hopefully asleep by 10pm. Plus traveling to Oregon means being in a different time zone, which will also keep me up late. I’m going to be sooo tired the first few days of work. Coffee!
Oh and btw, I decided to follow the trend (since Heather and Matt did it first) and I changed my commenting system to Disqus because I absolutely adore it… I rarely subscribe to comments on other blogs because then I end up getting an email with *every* comment that comes after mine (which is really annoying on more popular blogs)… but on Disqus it only emails me when someone replies to my comment and I find that very handy. Love it. And I hope you love it too, although you don’t have to sign up for Disqus to comment on the blog if you don’t want to. The only thing is… it’s taking *ages*to import my comments, which is why it looks like all comments are gone. I’m hoping they reappear soon… like NOW! Yay my comments are imported!
