Siiiigh…

Kind of a gloomy day, I’m so glad it’s nearly over and that the weekend is here.   I’m not ready to be back in the swing of things at work, and the teacher in services are really dragging on.

More than that, though, the people that I work with are getting me down.  I mean, I’ve met some nice people in the district (aka people I won’t see regularly) and even the people that are teachers at my school seem nice… but I feel so left out, excluded from their clique.  I think I’m the only new teacher at the school and since they’ve all been together, they seem to not invite me to sit with them, etc.  It’s kind of harsh, especially because I would never do that – at my old school I was always welcoming to new teachers.  Hopefully things will get better and soon.

Meanwhile I’m debating if I made a mistake in getting the 16gb iPhone.  I have such an issue with decisions, I hate making them and this is a classic example.  3 days in, I’ve only got 8.7gb left of space on my iPhone.  That needs to last me for the next 2 years.  If I add tv shows or movies (and I’m thinking that might come in handy while on the elliptical at the gym), that would eat up a lot of space (a movie is 1.5gb) so maybe I could need more… I mean, I know I won’t be storing a lot of videos on the phone at once, but maybe 1 or 2? I don’t know what to do.  Thoughts?

Didn’t get my 8 hours of sleep last night either (iPhone keeping me up again) so that might be the main reason why I’m cranky… luckily tomorrow is Saturday and I get to sleep in.  And workout, I HAVE to workout.  Plus I’m hoping to see The Time Traveler’s Wife… and maybe go to AT&T if I do decide to trade up my iPhone.  Hmmm….

  • Can't you put movies/shows on your phone, watch at the gym and then delete afterwards?
  • TotallyHeather
Get the 32gb one if you can afford it. Most def.
  • Well, what I used to do when I had my sidekick (I feel ancient saying this..) I only had so much room for music. I kept everything on my computer and added things to my phone as needed. Like, if I were planning on going for a run, I would throw a few albums on my phone and take off. I suggest grabbing Pandora or Imeem, too. I understand not knowing what you want to listen to ahead of time, so if you haven't checked out pandora or imeem, you probably should.

Also, how do I get in touch with you via email? I gots myself a few questions regarding domains and blogging, if you want to help out that is =)
  • Yeah you might be right, maybe I should just conserve space instead of paying more money for more space.

Sure I can try to help, though I'm not sure how much help I'll be... my email address is curiousillusion (at) ymail (dot) com. :)

Get the 32gb. Take advantage of the price. I am in a contract now and it would cost $500 to get it. :D
  • Yeah you have a point. BUT... well my fear is that I might drop my iPhone or something. If I did, I'd have to pay full price for a new one. So instead of spending money now for a 32gb, maybe I should save that money just in case.

I don't know, I might think on it for another week or so. I have a bit of time to decide.
  • You don't have to pay "full price" for a new iPhone if you drop it. If you break the glass/digitizer, it is $199 to fix it at Apple, no matter what the size.

Trust me, I know from experience.
  • Really? Okay that makes me feel a bit better. Although still, ow!!
  • I always find it so silly for people to not be welcoming. I don't understand why they can't remember back to when they were new, and how they were probably in a similar situation.

I have the 16gb iPhone and I'm having the same problem. I really have to plan out what movies/tv shows I keep on there just so I can have the space. This leads to lots of syncing, which is slightly annoying but does seem to keep it up to date with the endless software patches.
  • hey, i told you to get the 32GB model. i have an iphone, i know how fast the space fills up. even when you don't think you have anything to put on there, you find things to put on there.
  • Yeah I know, I don't seem to listen well. I was hoping to save a bit of money...
