Better late than never..

5 years ago I graduated college.  Actually more like 5 and a half years ago.  It was obviously a big deal, I did the whole cap and gown bit… woohoo me.  Well today, my mother and I finally went shopping for my graduation present.  Long story why but suffice it to say, I walked away with 3 of these boxes:

PB082205 Now how can that be bad?  :)

So what did I get?  Well, take a look:

PB082206A charm bracelet, with the first charm being an apple! :)  Oh and don’t you LOVE how you can see my hand and camera in the picture… no way around it, tragically.  Anyway, I had been wanting a charm bracelet and my mom wanted me to get one too because she figures it’s something that I’ll have for ages to come.  I figure it’ll take my ages to fill up the charm bracelet… gotta find me a man to help me out with that, lol!

PB082208Then I also got these earrings.  My mom isn’t a fan of them, she thinks they’ll go out of style and I guess she has a point… when I’m 40 years old I probably won’t be wearing them.  But I can pass them down to my daughter or something.  I’ll enjoy them while I can!

So… pretty exciting day.   Now… who wants to get me my next charm for my charm bracelet? :D

Day 8/30 of NaBloPoMo… wrapped up in a pretty bow!

  • Love the bracelet! I think I'm going to take a photo of mine now - you've inspired me.

And thanks for visiting my blog!
  • I wanna see what your bracelet looks like!
  • I love the bracelet. My dad gave me one when I was fourteen and it has so many charms on it now. Hmmm... maybe I'll take a photo of it.

    Thanks for your visit!
  • I love those earrings! They're so adorable.
  • Aw yay I'm so glad! And thank you!
  • The little blue box...
  • Pretty powerful, no?
  • Cut presents! But didn't you say three boxes...? What was in the third one? x
  • Ha ha I wondered if anyone would count. Actually 2 boxes were for the bracelet... one for the bracelet itself, and the other for the charm (because you can remove it).

Oh how awesome! I've always wanted a charm bracelet too. And I've NEVER gotten a Tiffany's box. Yeahhh good luck to both of us on finding those men one day. LMAO.
  • Well I've never gotten a Tiffany's box from a man yet... but I'm setting standards high, lol!
  • I love Tiffany's blue boxes. LOVE. Guess it's what might be in them that makes me such a fan. ^_^ Happy Belated Graduation!
  • Yeah you can't go wrong with a Tiffany's blue box... or what's inside them!
  • well, was it worth the wait to get these fabulous gifts?! I loooove that you got a charm bracelet. My MIL got me a Pandora charm bracelet 3 or 4 years ago and I JUST filled it up last month. It's nice to have it full but sad and bittersweet at the same time. And my first charm was also an apple! :)
  • Totally worth the wait! And awww I wanna see your Pandora bracelet!

Nice, really nice. So you need a man to give charms? So if I were a girl I couldn't get you one? And since you insinuate that you'll have to find a man, I'm sure that puts me out of the picture. So I can't give you a charm. (Now, that, on face value, what I've just said just sounds weird!).
    Anyway... good on you. :)

OK, back to the plan of giving you a rice cooker for Xmas.
  • Actually... I'd almost rather not have a man give me charms, and by man I mean a guy I'm dating... I have an old charm bracelet somewhere but it's full of memories of the guy I was with at the time. At least so far this bracelet is only linked to my mom and me.

So in other words... I highly encourage friends to give me charms, lol.

Rice cooker huh? But I finally just learned how to cook rice properly!!

    Ooooh... care to swap recipes?
(And by "swap" I mean "give it to me!")
    :)
  • Ummm... it's a family secret. :)

  • I have my Grandmother's Charm Bracelet. I inherited it when she passed on. It's full though. I should get my own...
  • I got my grandmother's for my last birthday :) I don't wear it often, because it's yellow gold, but it's one of my most prized posessions.
  • Aw but that must be nice to have!
