Days like this…

You ever have one of those days?  Not necessarily a bad day, just a day when you feel cranky.  Nothing makes you happy, everything makes you unhappy… it’s just not good.  And you know it’s not good, but you can’t get out of it anyway?  Yeah that was today.

I don’t know why either.  Oh wait, I think I do – in an effort to save a few dollars and what’s left of my girlish figure (ha ha), I decided to skip Starbucks today.   Maybe Starbucks IS necessary sometimes.  Oh and for the record, no it’s not coffee I’m addicted to – it’s Starbucks.  Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha, Vanilla Chai Latte… mmm.. I might definitely need to get one tomorrow, just to start the day off right. :)

Anyway.  I brought Lola (the new camera, if you’re not keeping up) to work today because I figured I’d play after the kids left.  Unfortunately… I don’t have much photogenic stuff around the classroom, and there’s no clutter-free areas to take pictures.  I was glancing at a homework assignment where the kids were supposed to decorate a holiday card and one little girl attached  a sparkly twig to the front of the card.  Sparkly is always good, I love sparkly things.  I shoved off all the stuff that was on top of my bookshelf and then worked the camera, trying to find a good shot.

[8/24] just sparkle. I like how the wall and the bookshelf almost blend together.

The funny thing is – the other kinder teacher had a very noisy after school club in her room so she and the aide were hanging out in my classroom because it was quiet.  They saw me moving stuff around and both laughed at me setting up the shot. But hey… it came out nice.  I don’t mind being laughed at for a shot like this. :)

    Well, I'm not Mr Grumpy for nothing! :) I'm an expert at it. I do it very well, and it drives people crazy. And yes, it's never really done on purpose.
    I love this picture, Christmas theme or not, what matters is the picture.
    Next time people laugh, turn the camera around and take a photo of them... hopefully with the flash on. :)

  • Nah doesn't scream Christmas because it wasn't meant to be a Christmas shot. It was a shot that I got when I was playing around with the camera and I just fell in love with it. I'd rather post a pic that I fell in love with than an eh pic that fits the theme, ya know?

    And ues, those days are the worst because you know you're in a poor mood but you also know there's nothing you can do. It sucks because you're aware of everything yet incapable of changing anything.
