three sixty five. week three.
Week three. Still early in the project but I already had one of those “oh man, I have to come up with a picture and I’m out of ideas” moments. That’s never fun. I’m still enjoying it though, and I’m still liking my pictures, for the most part. Oh and with this week’s pictures you’ll notice a watermark that I had to add, grrr. It’s still evolving, I want to come up with a cute one but for now it’ll do.
day fifteen – a is for… This came out differently in my head. I didn’t expect the background (my curtains) to look as smooth as they did. I spent a lot of time in photoshop playing with this and I think I’m happy with how it turned out. Although, in real life - the necklace is silver not yellow gold.
day sixteen – “what’s in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet.” I absolutely love the details and colors I captured in this rose. Plus, the smooth background was a lovely perk of using the 50mm lens, and I’m thrilled with it.
day seventeen – were those there yesterday? I didn’t know what to take a picture of so I figured I’d bust out the Minnie Mouse ears my friend got me from Walt Disney world. This picture didn’t come out how I wanted but I think it still kinda works.

day eighteen – happy bench monday. I’d heard about a flickr group where people stand on benches on Mondays… nothing fancy, and when a fellow flickr friend did it for his picture, I kinda wanted to try it myself. This attempt is still kinda eh to me tho.

day nineteen – Wall-E helps the class say the pledge. My beloved picture. I spent soo much time trying to get a good shot and while the shot didn’t come out how I planned, I just ADORE the expression in his eyes. It almost looks like he’s alive.

day twenty – everything is upside down. Two things led to this picture – #1 I switched my camera over to manual mode in an attempt to learn how to adjust the settings for myself, and #2 I was trapped in my bedroom because my mom was having a ton of people over. My cat was lounging around on the bed and since she was the only thing around to take a picture of, I started learning manual mode by taking pictures of her. Luckily cooperated with me long enough to get this shot. It’s my favorite picture of her so far.
day twenty one – I’m Theodore! This is kind of a silly picture, but it was just me playing with the camera on my lunch break at work. A student gave me this little toy and I was just fiddling around, loving the smooth bokeh that the 50mm creates. I can’t get over it!
And that’s it. 3 weeks down. Still such a long way to go!
